World Wildlife Day 2025 Celebrated in Haryana
On World Wildlife Day 2025, The Celestial Earth, in collaboration with the Forest Department, Government of Haryana, hosted a state-level event at the Peacock and Chinkara Breeding Centre (PCBC), Jhabua Forest, Rewari, Haryana. The event, aligning with the global theme “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet,” focused on the importance of conservation for ecological balance.
The ceremony was graced by Hon'ble Environment Minister of Haryana, Shri. Rao Narbir Singh, who highlighted wildlife conservation's vital role. Shri. Vivek Saxena, PCCF & CWLW, addressed issues such as habitat destruction and human-animal conflict, advocating for sustainable coexistence. Dr. Anindya Bhattacharya, Executive Director of The Celestial Earth, emphasized the connection between biodiversity and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), detailing ongoing conservation efforts in the Aravalli region.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including Shri. Ram Kumar (DFO Wildlife, Gurugram) and Shri. Subhash Yadav (IFS Conservator of Forests, South Circle, Gurugram), to foster awareness and action for wildlife protection.
