The Celestial Earth’s 12th Year Foundation Day Conference “Pathways to Resilience: Climate Adaptation & Nature-Based Solutions” on 9th January at New Delhi

The Celestial Earth hosted its 12th Foundation Day Annual Conference on January 9, 2025, in Delhi, under the theme "Pathways to Resilience: Climate Adaptation & Nature-Based Solutions." The conference brought together leading experts and stakeholders from India’s climate change and sustainable development sectors. Six carefully curated panels focused on India’s National Adaptation Plan and the financing mechanisms required to support it. The panels included a balanced representation of policymakers, practitioners, academicians, and industry leaders, with a strong emphasis on gender inclusivity.

Notable institutions such as the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, UNDP, NTPC Ltd., HCL Tech, and TERI participated, alongside government bodies including MoEFCC, BEE, and the Ministry of Power.

The conference was inaugurated by Ms. Rajasree Ray, Economic Advisor, MoEFCC, and Shri (Dr.) Pradeep Tharakan, Director, Asian Development Bank, whose speeches set the stage for insightful discussions.

Additionally, The Celestial Earth's annual digest, 'Save the Earth's 3rd Issue, was released during this event.

The outcome of the event will be a white paper on "India’s Adaptation Planning and Policy and Financing Mechanism," which will contribute to the development of India’s National Adaptation Plan, advancing the country’s climate resilience goals.
